The project " 1 ¢ at a time! " is community based and puts forth values of sharing, helping and solidarity. The event started in 2003 and developped in 2004 and in 2005, in the Montreal area. This year, for the 4th edition 2009-2010, we have a new challenge: " 1 ¢ at a time! " all-around the province of Quebec! The goal this year is to reach all 7 700 000 Quebecers!
Our vision is very simple: if each of the 7 700 000 Quebecers gives 1 ¢ a day, throughout the year, for a total of $ 3.65, more than $ 28 000 000 could be raised! Imagine how easy it is to help our young people with just one penny at a time! Thus we will be able to support the chosen organization for this edition: the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec which contributes to the well-being of our youth!
Each of us has the responsibility to participate actively in this event. And what's better than words of mouth to reach our goal! Starting today, you are invited to talk about the fund raising event to your family, friends and colleagues. You are also invited to get a container to gather your change (1 ¢, 5 ¢ and 10 ¢) during the year. Use the change you find:

while doing your house cleaning;

underneath the cushions of your couch;

in the pockets of your winter coat;

accumulated in a jar at home over many years;

or the one that is given back to you after your purchases.
